Who else thought Iraq would be one big desert 🐪?

We have to admit this was our assupmtion as well before starting our research. But at least here in Iraqi Kurdistan we still see a lot of agriculture, water and lush green hills. Close to Dukan lake we drove through this particularly beautiful and serene early morning landscape.
