We have seen mangroves a few times before on our trip, but the Jubail Mangrove Park for sure had the nicest ambiance! As we visited just around sunset, the walkway with all the lights looked very pretty, but unfortunately when our hike progressed it became too dark to see the actual mangroves 😅.
Mangroves are bushes and trees that mainly grow along coastlines in salty water. They have many benefits, as they provide additional coastal protection against floods, a home for many different species, and can capture four times as much carbon as rainforests.
Since 2020, Abu Dhabi has planted 44 million million new trees, and is planning to reach 100 million by 2030.
