We crossed back into Saudi Arabia. Where Wadi Rum was stunning, the landscape here is basically the same, and dare we say it, maybe even prettier 😍.

Another difference we appreciated compared to Wadi Rum is the lack of admission fees and the many tourist glamping and tent camps. But this might change quickly, since Saudi is very rapidly developing this region for tourism.

This is already happening. We crossed this desert area from north to south, and all of a sudden we were stopped by a big yellow fence. It took us a detour of more than 20km to get around it.
