With each border crossing, the landscape and culture are different, yet also similar to the previous country. But at this palace in Istanbul, we realized how all that gradual change has added up to a world that is vastly different from home.

Topkapi Palace is where the Sultans of the Ottoman Empire lived, which at its peak stretched from Algeria to Poland to Yemen. The details, colors, and patterns are unlike anything we have seen before. Just try to imagine for a minute that this would be your house 🤯!
