Our plan was to reach the town of Mfuwe from the north, by crossing through South Luanga National park.
Although the track itself is not too bad, it is impossible to take this route during the rainy season. We were there right around, or before the start of the rainy season, so we tried to collect as much recent information as possible from fellow travelers before we went. While there were already some mud pools appearing on the track, we made it through. But as it started raining heavily that afternoon we might have been just in time, or one of the last ones to cross.
In Mfuwe we spent a wonderful time with Elke, and the next morning had a nice game drive and breakfast in the park, with her cool Defender. Hopefully we will be back one day 😊.
