Green Uganda 💚.
You might have noticed our pictures are becoming progressively greener as we travel deeper into Africa. This is particularly true in Uganda, maybe because we visited during the short rains, but for sure it is a stark contrast to the images we got used to in the Middle East.
The first photo shows one of the Tooro crater lakes, a quite famous viewpoint as it is actually on the 20.000 shilling banknote. Yes, you read that right, Uganda has 20.000, and even 50.000 shilling notes, the latter of which is worth around €12,50.
On the last photo you can see the meandering Semuliki river in the background, which marks the border between Uganda and the DRC.
