The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat is yet another building to make it to our list of stunning architecture in the Middle East.

Especially the interior, which is different from any other mosque we have seen so far, and contains intricate details and tasteful materials everywhere you look.

And then there is the crazy statistics, like the carpet which is made of one piece by 6000 workers over a period of 4 years, or the chandelier which is so large that there is an internal staircase to do maintenance, and which weighs almost three times as much as our Troopy. Crazy indeed.
